Meghan Markle has a new television role lined up, and it involves a trip back to Australia. Paramount Australia and New Zealand announced that the Duchess of Sussex will appear as a special guest on Junior MasterChef Australia, with People reporting she is expected to film there for a few weeks in 2027. Her husband, Prince Harry, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, are not expected to join her for the trip.
Back with a familiar face
Meghan will join host Poh Ling Yeow on the show, described by Paramount as an effort to help guide the next generation of young culinary talent. The appearance follows Meghan's guest judging stint on the adult version of MasterChef Australia earlier this year. 'I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes,' she said in a statement. 'I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what they cook up!'
Yeow echoed that enthusiasm, noting how often fans have asked whether the junior format would return. 'I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat,' she said. 'I can't wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers. I'm expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too.'
