Lady Gaga has kept a relatively low public profile since welcoming her first child, aside from the occasional post about her beauty brand, Haus Labs. Sources have now given People a glimpse of how things are actually going at home with her fiance, Michael Polansky, and their daughter, Rose.

Savoring the early days

'Gaga and Michael are truly in baby bliss,' one source said. 'They are savoring every moment and new milestone. They have been sending videos and pictures to close friends and family. Rose is so adorable and really looks like the perfect combination of both her parents.' The same source said Polansky has eased back into work after taking a stretch of time off, now handling much of it remotely so he can stay close to Gaga and the baby.

A natural adjustment to motherhood

Another insider described Gaga as settling into parenthood with ease. 'Gaga has taken to being a mother so well,' the source said. 'She is kind, protective, and loves singing to Rose.' Among her go-to songs, apparently, is her own rendition of 'La Vie en Rose,' alongside a rotation of nightly lullabies.

News of Rose's arrival broke last month, though Gaga and Polansky have not addressed it publicly themselves.

What Gaga has said about wanting kids

Back in January 2025, Gaga told ELLE how she hoped to approach motherhood when the time came, especially around her own career and public image. 'I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them,' she said. 'I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me. Maybe other than that I just did my best, and tried to stay true to myself along the way. That's something Michael and I have talked about a lot, allowing our kids to be their own people.'

She added that she expected her own history to eventually confuse her kids a little. 'My kid might one day say, Mom, why do you do these things? I saw a funny video of you dressed up,' Gaga said. 'Most certainly, that will happen. And you know, maybe it's okay to say, what do you think?'
