Katie Holmes made her couple debut with the New York artist Jason Bard Yarmosky at a Ferragamo dinner at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, and did it the way she does most things, which is quietly and in very good clothes.
What they wore
Holmes arrived in a sheer button down worn over a fringed champagne coloured skirt, with black pointed toe slingbacks and a bright orange handbag doing all of the shouting. Yarmosky wore wide leg trousers, a navy cardigan, black loafers, and a single flash of colour at the neck.
Asked about the coordination, Holmes told ELLE that they simply have similar taste. That is the entire quote, and it is more than she usually gives.
The evening
The dinner marked Ferragamo's four day pop up at the property, hosted by Daniella Vitale, chief executive of Ferragamo Americas, and Gabrielle Union-Wade. Visitors can shop the pre fall 2026 collection there. Guests reported that the couple spent most of the night whispering and laughing.
How we got here
Rumours started this summer. On July 10 the two were photographed holding hands at a screening of The Invite in East Hampton, hosted by The Cinema Society, and a source told People they were affectionate throughout.
That source described him whispering to her while she laughed, the pair sitting together during the film with her head on his shoulder at one point, and an ease between them that was obvious from across the room.
A New York dinner followed soon after, the two of them linked at the elbow, and by July 22 the sources had stopped calling it a friendship. Three days later they walked into a room together on purpose.
