For a month after the wedding, the couple gave the public almost nothing. That embargo has now lifted from both directions. Kelce talked about the wedding for the first time at a Kansas City Chiefs press briefing this week, and Swift was photographed in London with a significant change to her hair.
What a source says
Neither of them has described married life directly, but somebody close to the couple has briefed People on how it is going. The line is that both feel grateful to be starting this chapter and are simply glad to be husband and wife, and that the relationship reads as more significant to them now than it did before.
On what they do with their time, the same source describes two people permanently working, making something, or thinking about the next thing, and says they like living that way. The summary offered is that they are happy and conscious of what they have.
The wedding, briefly
Kelce kept it brief this week. The wedding was the finest night he has had, he said, and he thanked everybody who came, and then stopped not far past describing an evening built entirely out of celebration. On the venue he had more to say, having wanted to get inside Madison Square Garden since he was a child and never managing it for a Knicks playoff game. He thanked the arena's owners for permitting a private event there, and reported that the air conditioning was the highlight.
Swift has still said nothing
Not a word from her about the wedding. The closest thing on the record is still what she said after the engagement last August, on The Tonight Show in October, when Jimmy Fallon asked her about the ring.
Her answer was that he is her favourite person she has ever met, with apologies to everybody else, and that what the ring represents is getting to spend every day with him from here on. She described looking at it and thinking precisely that.
