Rather than the plain satin version that has been everywhere, Swift chose Veronica Beard's Kieran Floral slip dress, a black and floral piece with spaghetti straps and a scalloped hem, paired with white framed sunglasses, strappy white sandal heels, hair worn down, and a short chain necklace.
A night honoring her collaborator
The event celebrated director Glenn Weiss, who directed Swift's Eras Tour: The Final Show, and sound designer John Ross, both of whom picked up Emmy nominations for the Disney Plus special. Swift herself was nominated as a producer and performer on the project, which has earned five nominations in total.

According to Deadline, Swift sang a few songs from her catalog before addressing the crowd about Weiss's work. She said one of the things that impressed her most was how the special preserved the feeling of the concert itself, describing conversations with Weiss about protecting the sense of escapism and freedom the shows gave fans in the room. She credited the rehearsal process with the dancers and the choreography for making that possible, joking that fans should have seen the footwork of the Steadicam operator if they liked what the dancers did on screen. Swift has won an Emmy once before, in 2015, for an interactive media project tied to American Express.
