Blackpink released Deadline earlier this year, but Lisa is not waiting around for the next group project to put out new solo music. The rapper is preparing her first ever solo EP, Press Play, due out this fall, and she is not the only member busy outside the group. Jennie released her own EP, Fallen Angel, on August 28, Jisoo has a single called Click arriving September 4, and Rose has reportedly been spending time in the studio over the past year.

## What to expect from the EP

Press Play will hold six tracks in total, with the first single, SaWaDiKa, arriving September 3. Lisa previewed the song on TikTok on August 28 with a clip showing her in a boxing ring dressed for a fight, chanting lines about cold jewelry from Geneva, a indigo Ferrari, and herself as the diva everyone sees on their screens. The full EP is scheduled for release on October 23.

## What she has said so far

Lisa has not spoken directly about Press Play, but a June 2026 feature in Vanity Fair revealed she had been quietly working on new music in the United States. That piece suggested the loose idea behind the project was to support her Las Vegas residency, Viva La Lisa, with the singer wanting to bring fresh material and a new experience to the shows going forward.
