Kylie Jenner is stepping into scripted television in a bigger way. Deadline reported on October 5 that the reality star and beauty mogul will star in and executive produce Bachelorette Weekend, a new thriller in the works at Hulu, marking her first major acting role.
What the role involves
Jenner will play a bride whose bachelorette trip turns deadly when she is found murdered in a swimming pool, with her closest friends becoming suspects as the series works backward through the events leading up to her death. Deadline described her character as the story's central figure. The project, currently a working title, comes from author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver, based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins, with Oliver also writing the adaptation through Kapital Entertainment. Jenner, her sister Kim Kardashian, Oliver and Aaron Kaplan are executive producing, with Jaiden Kaplan serving as co-executive producer. According to Deadline, the script originally landed with Kardashian, who thought it could be a strong vehicle for her younger sister and passed it along.
A deliberate step into acting
Jenner has been easing into scripted work gradually, including a cameo in Charli XCX's A24 film The Moment. In an August 2026 interview with Who What Wear, she said she had passed on two earlier scripts before finding one pilot that felt like the best fit yet, even though it had not been picked up at the time. She explained that she has grown more selective about committing to a major role, especially one that would require travel away from her kids, wanting to be certain it felt right before signing on. She also described calling Kardashian for advice after first getting nervous about her role in The Moment, eventually rehearsing with friends and improvising on set, and said testing herself in front of a large production crew while filming a Dunkin campaign earlier this year helped convince her she was ready for more.
