They marked the anniversary by being photographed a very long way from Montreal, on holiday with friends in the south of France, taking selfies and passing the afternoon on a boat. ## A summer built around her tour dates The relationship has been conducted this year largely around her European festival schedule, and he has simply gone along. In early July she posted a photograph of him kissing her in Stuttgart, where he was also spotted watching her set from the crowd at the city's Jazz Open. He then turned up in Aix-les-Bains, and appeared in a video dancing with her and the crew, which is not the behaviour of someone attending out of obligation. ## What she has said about it Perry has been unusually direct about the relationship. At the Tribeca Festival premiere of her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour, she called him the love of her life in a Q and A with the moderator Tomas Mier, and added simply that she is very in love. Her explanation of what changed is the more interesting part. The Paris show captured in the film came after they met, and she describes feeling anchored by it. She compares herself to a rainbow kite that flies extremely high and occasionally touches the veil, and says she sometimes needs holding down. Having that anchor, she said, finally makes her feel whole. ## And what he said Trudeau went to the premiere with her and gave Entertainment Tonight the line of the evening on the carpet.
