Anne Hathaway is not letting pregnancy slow down her approach to sheer dressing. She stepped out in New York City ahead of an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in an all-black look built around a sheer top with an opaque, off-the-shoulder neckline and long draped panels of fabric down each side, paired with loose wide-leg trousers and open toe heels.

Minimal accessories, maximum polish

Hathaway kept the extras simple, adding black rectangular sunglasses, small silver earrings, a stack of bracelets and a few rings. A wine toned cherry cocoa manicure and matching pedicure rounded out the look. The appearance followed a very different black outfit the night before, when she wore a strapless Prabal Gurung gown with sequin embroidery, a sweetheart neckline and pleated tulle to the New York premiere of Verity, styled by Erin Walsh and finished with Bulgari diamond jewelry.

A packed year winding down

Hathaway is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, with whom she already shares sons Jonathan and Jack. This appearance comes near the end of an unusually busy press year that started with Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2, continued through The Odyssey and End of Oak Street, and now wraps with Verity, her fifth film release of 2026. In an ELLE summer cover story, Hathaway described planning looks for the run from an office stocked with designer clothes and roughly 100 pairs of shoes, saying she has leaned fully into enjoying the process rather than treating it as a chore.
